In Kilfinan Church there is a bronze plaque on a green marble backboard (WMR 82209, which includes an image) which reads:
TO THE GLORY OF GOD / AND IN LOVING MEMORY / OF DUNCAN MACRAE / D.L. J.P. OF CONCHRA / 5TH SON OF MAJOR COLIN / MACRAE OF CONCHRA / 75TH (ABERCROMBY'S) HIGHLANDERS / AND HIS WIFE ISABELLA / MACRA OF ARDINTOUL, / WHO DIED AT KAMES CASTLE / ISLE OF BUTE (THE PROPERTY / OF HIS KINSMAN JOHN 3RD / MARQUIS OF BUTE K.T.) / 14TH DEC. 1898 AGED 82 / REQUIESCAT IN PACE / AND HIS WIFE GRACE STEWART (OVER BLARISH / CADET OF GARTH) WHO DIED AT BARNLONGART / OTTER FERRY 30TH APRIL 1912 AGED 83. /

JOHN NIGEL MACRAE / LIEUT. 11TH ROYAL HIGHLANDERS (BLACK WATCH) / CAPTAIN R.A.F. YOUNGER SON OF STUART / MACRAE OF CONCHRA, KILLED FLYING / IN FRANCE, 11TH APRIL 1918, AGED 24. /

He is buried in grave VI C10 at Lapugnoy Military Cemetery, France and was the son of Stuart & Ethel MacRae of Rhu Lodge, Tarbert, Loch Fyne |
