At the end of this month Lt Colonel Roger J. Binks , secretary to the Trustees of the Scottish National War Memorial at the Edinburgh Castle is retiring from the post after 8 years .
The new Secretary is Lt Colonel Colin McRory, and he has been working with Roger during the months prior to this time .
I know that Lt Col Binks stood down recently from his position as Regimental Secretary of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards .
Roger has done excellent work at the Scottish National War memorial these Eight Years and I am really grateful for his assistance in putting through Casualties of War to be added to the Rolls at the Castle .
I have been assured that Lt Col McRory will do an excellent job in the post over the coming years .
I did not realise that the SNWM was a Charity and gets no MONEYS from the UK Government or Scottish Government to remember our WaR dead
