A few photos of the Gordon Highlanders Regimental Colours from the Boer War laid up in Holburn Central Church.
The congregation is moving to Rutherstone Church and when I visited the parish commitee were in the process of moving things. I spoke to the propery convenor, a Mr John Watson and he was waiting to here back from the Gordons regimental museum about them removing the colours but they had not back in touch with him. Mr Watson is very concerned about trying to move the colours but did state to me that he "will not leave them behind".
Apologies for the quality of the photos, the light was not very good.
regards,

If I recall, other laid up Gordons colours are in Crathie church. I guess that would be a contender. I think their final colours are in the Regimental museum. |
