I have been researching family genealogy for some years but only in the last few years have I been working on the military side. We have many of our family fighting in WWI with 3 immediate relations being killed in action.
In WWII again we have several being in action including my father and several uncles. The two main to have been killed in action is my namesake Andrew F Davidson a boy sailor killed when HMS Barham was sunk.
We also have a second cousin who was a pilot in fighter command and seen action throughout the Battle of Britain being shot down and killed 5 DEC 1940 and it was him that I have been concentrating on over the last couple of years, finding a lot more than was previously written about him.
Look forward to taking active part in this forum
regards
Andrew (Drew) Davidson |

Thanks all for the welcome
Adam
No he is not on the memorial as my grandmother would not pay to have it put on.
Both the Davidson from WWI are remembered in the Fettercairn listing at the gate
