Palnackie is in the parish of Buittle. Buittle's civic memorial is in the former Buittle church and a replacement memorial was recently created in Buittle churchyard. Both of these memorials have the names inscribed. Palnackie is the largest village in the parish and is quite some distance from the church so this memorial was created beside the village hall in Palnackie as a place of remembrance (but without names). Given that there is a Lord Lieutenant's wreath recently laid, I decided to record this as an additional civic memorial.
