Location in St Ninian's church, Troon at OS Map Ref NS 327303
This memorial is a box which serves as the Communion Wafer Box. The box came from the workshop of Robert ('Mouseman') Thompson, hence the mouse. There are several more pieces of his mouse-decorated furniture in the church, including the main door.
241 Squadron was flying Spitfire Mk VIII and Mk IX at the time of David Neilson's death.
