Location - St Andrews Church, Park Circus Ayr, OS Map Ref NS 337 212
The window was presented by Mrs Katherine Garven and family in memory of the late Robert Garven DFC, BSc a former elder who also served as session clerk from 1971 to 1983. Mr Garven died on 4 Feb 2001. The window is appropriately placed behind the pew where he worshipped. The window depicts the story of Ruth and Naomi, this being one of Mr Garven's favourite scripture stories. It also incorporates the DFC medal and symbols of the RAF recognising his service to his country. The spire of St Andrew's church is also incorporated. The window was designed and installed by the artist Roland Mittand of Livingstone and was dedicated in October 2002.
