The memorial is a polished grey granite bench next to the war memorial and police station in the middle of the village. The commemoration is in gold lettering in the face of the back of the bench.

Chanced upon this lovely Memorial seat when we stopped in Taynult at the weekend.
McBEAN, WILLIAM (both SNWM and CWGC use McBean)
Rank: Second Lieutenant
Date of Death: 12/05/1916
Age: 28
Regiment/Service: Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders 11th Bn.
Grave Reference: III. F. 17.
Cemetery: VERMELLES BRITISH CEMETERY
Additional Information:
