In a letter to The Scotsman about the Clan Macrae Memorial, it also refers to the war memorial of the parishes of Kintail and Glenshiel. I suspect you are unlikely to be able to photograph the original memorial now.
The Scotsman - Saturday, 22nd July 1922, page 14
...
A war memorial was last year installed in the parishes of Kintail and Glenshiel, Ross-shire, by the Clan Macrae Society in the form of a district nurse, as this was considered a better form of memorial to the gallant clansmen who had fallen than by wasting money on bricks and mortar.

President of the Clan Macrae Society

Can anyone expand on this subject?
The letter seems a bit absurd as the Macrae's have 2 war memorials withing a short distance from each

And yet there seems to be no general community memorial to commemorate the men of the glen who fell.
Adam has noted under the Highland section:
Glenshiel , location - Not Known , Authority - Highland , District - Lochaber
I've been up and down Glen Shiel for several years now and have never found a community war memorial there.
Is there one? Was the "community nurse" the community's memorial after all? And the Macrae's had nothing to do with it? _________________

It could refer to this one:

The Highland Section list was partly based on an old RBL list which was full of holes and red herrings and only gave a location and not details of a memorial. It is more than likely that this individual memorial is the one in question especially if it was in a lay-by and on a maintenance list for council (although not under their ownership). I've found a few non war memorials on the RBL list.
Thanks
