This book " The Union bank of Scotland roll of honour 1914-1918 " publishers Maclehose , Jackson & Co , Glasgow - publishers to the University .
It has a foreword by Norman L. Hird , General Manager Glasgow September 1922.
The contents of the book cover the unveiling of the War Memorial at the Head Office in Glasgow as there is a photograph of it in the early pages of the book . Unveiled on Wednesday 26 April 1922 by His Grace the Duke of Atholl ,KT, chairman of the Bank .
Then lists of the staff members who gave their lives in the service of their Country 1914- 1918 and it has full names of each with office where the casualty had been employed ( no rank details etc shown on that list)
Then Honours gained by Members of the Staff showing each person's full name and office ( no ranks shown etc)
Roll of Honour regarding each Member of Staff who served with the Forces showing full name , rank regiment( no battalion) and service years as well as Theatre of War served , Awards , plus woundings / death date / and office
No photographs of any of the casualties

I can provide further details on most of these men - the Union Bank became part of the Bank of Scotland which then became part of HBOS plc, my current employers.
I have been researching this memorial for some time, and in fact the plaques for the Union Bank are located at my current place of employment. |

Moved this to the Glasgow Roll of Honour section as the memorial is contained in a bank building in the city. |
