Hi,
If anybody has an account for Fold3 I would be grateful if they can lookup the below record:
Robert Carlile (real surname Carlyle)
Age 20
Birth: about 1858
Birth Place: Inverkeithing Fife
Service start year 1878
Regiment 56
Regimental number 1413
I am sure this is the Robert Carlyle commemorated on the Inverkeithing WW1 War Memorial who later served in the RDC and was drowned in Grangemouth Docks in 1916.
Rgds,
