This is from a book at kelburne cricket club in Paisley.
I have got lots of information but can’t find any pictures. I have looked at loads of sites I normally get pictures from but no joy.

The date of birth of the last named man caught my eye.

Son of William Waters; husband of Jessie Paton Waters, of 24, Greenlaw Drive, Paisley.
Buried at SERRE ROAD CEMETERY No.2
Location: Somme, France.
LGaz 25 May 1915
6th Battalion, Princess Louise's (Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders); the undermentioned to be Second Lieutenants : —
….. Larice-Serjeant William Nisbet Waters, from 5th Battalion, Scottish Rifles. Dated 28th May, 1915. Lance-Serjeant James Andrew. Dated 28th May, 1915.
His Medal Card gives his number as A/L/SGT. 8247. No Overseas service.

Daily Record 3 August 1916.
PAISLEY OFFICER KILLED. Captain W. N. Waters, Argylls, whose wife and two children reside Marielea, Greenlaw Drive. Paisley, has been killed in action. He was 38 years of age, and had served for a period in the old Volunteers. When war broke out joined the National Reserve, and in May of last year he received a commission in the Argylls, attaining the rank of temporary captain, and acting adjutant. On going to the front in June last he reverted to the rank of second lieutenant. In civilian employment he was a surveyor to the Northern Assurance Company. He was a son of Mr. William Waters, manufacturer. A brother, Second-Lieut. R. R. Waters, is in the company to which he was attached. _________________ Ken |
