Inside the Church there is said to be a paper Roll of Honour in a carved wooden frame.
It is said to read- FOR KING AND COUNTRY / ROLL OF HONOUR / THE GREAT WAR / 1914 – 1919 /BIGTON / (names) / GOD SAVE THE KING
(Details of the 10 names on it are not known)
Update from BBC Radio Shetland lunchtime and evening news bulletins on 14 May 2021-Discussions are well under way for "Bigton Collective" to buy the Church and to use it as a Community Centre. They are in receipt of funding and advice to achieve this aim.
