The War Memorial lists the names of the 132 war dead and the aim of the booklet is to give some more information about them such as the service they were in, the date of death, where buried and their connection with the town. In addition the booklet has information on the history of the memorial and it’s unveiling, Andrew Wishart the piper hero, medal winners, Burntisland men who served with Commonwealth forces and other relevant articles.
The 68 page booklet (£3.50 + £1 p&p) can be purchased from me.
All proceeds go towards the Burntisland Heritage Trust. |
