This memorial is located just inside the entrance to Quarriers Village which is just outside Bridge of Weir. It is a stone archway about 2m high that has two red granite plaques/ tablets inside it. It is set in a beautifully maintained small garden.

THIS ARCHWAY OF STONES/ FROM THE HOUSE/ IN GREENOCK IN WHICH/ WILLIAM QUARRIER/ FOUNDER OF/ THE ORPHAN HOMES OF SCOTLAND/ WAS BORN IN 1829/ WAS ERECTED HERE IN HIS CENTENARY YEAR/ BY GIFTS OF/ CANADIAN QHS BOYS AND GIRLS/ AS A MEMORIAL/ TO THE BOYS OF THE QHS/ WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WAR/ 1914-1918
THIS TABLET WAS INCORPORATED/ IN THE MEMORIAL/ BY THE/ COUNCIL OF THE ORPHAN HOMES/ TO THE MEMORY/ OF THE BOYS WHO FELL/ IN THE SECOND GREAT WAR/ 1939-1945
