I think this one should be under individual, rather than school memorials.

Hi Ian, yes I appreciate that but there has been some discussion before where it was decided that it is 'who' is commemorated not 'where' the memorial is currently located that dictates the section where it is to be posted. See previous http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=1876&highlight=section+individual perhaps 'the boss' or one of the mods would like to comment? Perhaps this should be a guidance note in the Forum News section?
Regards

I still think that as it is a memorial to a schoolmaster located in a school then its natural place should be in the school section. i.e. If I were trying to find it, that would be my first port of call. However, I don't have a bee in my bonnet about this and would be happy to go along with whatever a 'higher power' decides.
Cheers,
Ian |

I would put in the individual section. If we have a memorial to a minister in a church it goes in teh individual section. A school memorial would cover all the pupils and the teacher.
I'll move it but I can leave the old heading in schools so it's noted in that section that the school has a memorial.
That aside I really like this memorial. It's very nice lettering they've used.
I see he was classed as a schoolmaster until his date of death and not the date he would have left the school.
It is also interesting tht his date of death is 16th November 1916 because the fighting at Beaumont Hamel finished on 14th November.
