Looks fairly modern. Was this reprinted to replace an earlier copy? |

I'm afraid I don't know. The frame and mount certainly had a look and feel of age. It struck me that the upper part was a common form where it is normally handwritten. The names did look modern and I don't remember seeing a 'presented to' inscription before. It certainly has the look of a more recent work. Unfortunately the minister is quite unwell so it would have been inconsiderate to bother him and I have no plans to go back that way. I googled the presenter ("McKill Maxwell" elder) and got a link http://www.geocities.com/tynron/, the site is temporarily unavailable but shows that he was an elder for 40 years and I know he was driving a car in 1938 from another source but I guess that doesn't narrow it down much.
