Not listed on UKNIWM
Location is in an overgrown part of the farmyard at Ingleston Farm about 1.5 miles south east of Moniaive. OS Map Ref NX 797 896. As you drive up to the farm, the stone is behind the wall on the right - it's very overgrown as you can see in the first picture (it's in the middle of that lot).
The lady of the house was very friendly and helpful.

I spoke to a member of the Scottish Covenantor Memorials Association and they said that while they will try and maintain memorials like this they can't do much about access if it's on private land.
I suppose that might explain the good condition of the stone, which is in a lot better condition than many more modern gravestones I've seen. |

Access is not as bad as it looks, its just a matter of finding it. You would have trouble getting there in a wheelchair but I'm sure even then that the lady of the house would have the trailer moved for you. On foot it is no problem.

This is now WMR, ex UKNIWM, memorial 72139.
It is a valid memorial as it doesn't actually say that they were buried at this location! |
