The plaque refers to a Roll of Honour. This has not been in the cathedral in the memory of those working there (at least 15 years). They do recal that there was a cabinet below the colours which presumably held the Roll at some time. The cabinet was first moved into store and later moved out of the cathedral, the person I spoke to thought that it might have gone to the museum as they thought that it was their property.
It would be interesting to know if the Roll of Honor still exists somewhere.
Perhaps we should have a new category on the project for 'partly' missing/lost memorials.
