Note that this church is also the Largs Heritage Centre and is open in the summer months from 12noon till 4pm everyday except Wednesdays and Sundays from 2 to 4pm.
This memorial consists of a bronze plaque containing the names of those who died plus a window of seven stained glass lights by Douglas Strachan. The part of the church where this window is situated is known as the McTaggart chapel. The window records a story from Samuel II which concludes with a soldier pouring water on the ground to symbolise those whose lives have been sacrificed.

Unveiled on Sunday the 7th of September. The bronze tablet was designed by Robert Lorimer and made by Robert Henshaw.
The 7 windows were unveiled by Mrs Donaldson of Rockland whose only son Lieutenant Cleweth Thomas Donaldson was killed in the war. The name panel was unveiled by Mrs Cuthbert Stewart, another mother of one who fell in the war, Lieutenant Ronald J. Stewart M.C.
Another memorial window was unveiled that day, to Captain (Rev.) Gavin Lang Pagan of the Royal Scots, in the South Aisle.
