|
|
Private James Devine died as a result of falling into the Clyde while on Guard duty at Beardmore's Dock, Dalmuir in the early hours of August 23rd 1914. He was in the 4th Battalion Scottish Rifles (Cameronians) (Special Reserve).
Unmarried he was aged 26 and from Govan.
His case was submitted on my behalf by Jim Grant late last year, along with the case of other S.R. battalion member William Ward.
Cheers,
Derek.
