This handsome memorial was unveiled on 13th November, 1921. It is built of Creetown granite and cost £750. A fine book has been compiled by J.D. Smith, a retired history teacher, which contains photographs and biographies of many of the names contained on the memorial. |

It is called 'Historical Earlston' by J.D. Smith and is privately printed. A small softback, my copy is priced at £2.50. I imagine it is only available from the author, who lives in Earlston, or (perhaps) the local newsagent.
If anyone wants any details from the book I would be happy to do 'look ups'.
