Remembered by a plaque on the south wall. It does not seem there was a major action at Zaaihoik/Zaahoek, which nowadays seems to be occupied by a water supply dam.
ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF
LANCE CORPORAL WALTER SCOTT
OF THE SCOTS GREYS
A NATIVE OF HUNTLYWOOD
WHO FELL AT ZAAIHOIK, SOUTH AFRICA
ON 6TH MAY 1901
HIS MEDAL BEARS THE FOLLOWING
DIAMOND HILL, JOHANNESBURG, ORANGE FREE STATE, RELIEF OF KIMBERLEY
