This memorial is on a bench located in Princes Street Gardens in Edinburgh.
I've had a brief look but couldn't find a Thomas Gordon Murray in the Black Watch. I'm sure someone better at searching will be able to locate something about him.
The 1914-18 appears to be a later addition.
