Location: St Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, Abban Street, Inverness
Brass plaque which reads:
"In Memory of James Sherriffs Beaton, Lce Corporal, Seaforth Highlanders, who fell at the Battle of Paardeberg, February 18th, 1900.
For 5 years he sang in the Quire of this church and served at the altar.
"A Good Soldier of Jesus "

Originally posted as a church memorial, this is clearly an individual memorial, so thread renamed and moved to the correct section.
I also tidied up the text a bit as there were a number of random spaces between words and also capitalisation of certain words which looked out of place. |
