The Telegraph (31 Dec 2016) published an interesting obituary of Major Jock Foulis. He was awarded an MC in the Korean War whilst serving with 1st Bn KOSB. Later in his career he transferred to the Royal Army Pay Corps (my old corps) before retiring in 1988. Despite the fact that we both wore the same cap badge for twenty years, I don't think I ever met him.
His father had fought on the Somme with the London Scottish.
If anyone would like a scan of the obit, please send me a PM.
Regards
Paul |
