This is the closest match I could find for Ancill, Sydney. He is not on the Glasgow RoH.

Hello,
It is some time since the last message was posted.
Sidney Lionel Ancill is commemorated on the Garnethill Hebrew Congregation Memorial. He passed his final examinations for the Licence in Dental Surgery in April 1917.
On 8th July 1920 the Glasgow Herald reported:
At 30th Stationary Hospital, Baghdad, on 4th July of malaria, Sidney J.Ancill, L.D.S., Captain, General List, age 27, beloved elder son of P. Ancill and the late Mrs.Ancill, 27 Sandyford Place, Glasgow.
