CPL. GEORGE GLASS, BLACK WATCH
Named on the Innerwick Parish War Memorial in Haddingtonshire/East Lothian as:
GEORGE GLASS
George Glass – age 22 – Lance Corporal (1619) 1/6th (Perthshire) Battalion, Black Watch (Royal Highlanders)
George was a gardener at St. Mary's Tower, Torrhill, Birnham, Perthshire when he enlisted in Dunkeld and he landed with his battalion at Boulgne in May 1915 but he was killed two months later. He was buried in Wangerie Post Old Military Cemetery, Laventie and was re-interred at Fleurbaix in 1920.

Born 1893 in Coldingham, Berwickshire. Son of Richard and Janet (Bertram) Glass of Skateraw, Innerwick.
