Interesting to see that the WW1 plaque is a list of those served, while the WW2 is a list of those died. Also, according to the booklet, far more died during WW1 than WW2. |

Intimation has been received of the death in action of Lieutenant Ronald Munro, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, eldest son of Mr. J. J. Munro, chemist, Pollokshields, who for a number of years was in business as a chemist in Denny. He obtained his commission in June 1915, and shortly before he was killed was attached to the Trench Mortar Battery, Lieutenant Munro was a grandson of the late Col. Joiner of the old 93rd Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.

I think that the WW1 plaque is a list of those who lost their lives.
I did a (very) random check and each name is on CWGC.
Note also that the booklet is dated March 1915 so is a list of those who enlisted by then.
Where there are notes they give dates in 1914 and 1915.
One "odd" one is that Stephen Cocks Welch is WELSH, Private S. C., S.R. in the Roll but is WELCH, Stephen C. on the plaque.
