Not listed on UKNIWM.
This memorial is located inside Haddington Parish Church (the civic memorial is outside). No further details of location.
I only have this one partial photo of this memorial kindly supplied by GWF member Dycer (George Souness) who also provided the info on existance of this memorial.

More from George Souness, this time about the John Souness listed.
His Number was 582 and you already have Cemetery details. Don't really know anything more about him other than he was an apprentice in the Local Newspaper,no idea of trade but not a journalist.
If only we could get this level of info on every man on every memorial.

The Graves Registration Units did provide photos to those who were in communication with them regarding a casualty or a grave they had registered. This was not always possible, until sometime after the burial, due to ongoing military operations. In this case it could have been soon after.
Interestingly John's grave is at the end of Row A. The French graves to the rear have been moved and Bloomfield's Cross of Sacrifice is in place there now.
It is sad to learn that John's NOK were known then but that they did not provide full details to IWGC , when requested, to have these added to his entry in their record.
