Thanks to Ann Mirtle for the photos and to Norman Myles for sending them. It is situated within Victoria Hall, Main Street.
Will see if can get photos which will make names clearer.

David,
I will try and find out more about it.
However, the post for Coaltown of Balgonie has this -
"The monument is actually dedicated to the men of 'Balgonie Colliery and Estate' and I would take the inclusion of the word 'Estate' to qualify this as a civic memorial. The Royal British Legion Scotland has included it in its list of community memorials." |

I tend to agree with David on this. In the absence of a Roll of Honour section for Fife it should be in Other.
The Coaltown of Balgonie & Estate memorial lists the Fallen whereas this one is a " Roll of Honour & Service " with nothing to be found against Haxton and Morgan (examples ) to indicate they became casualties, as far as can be seen from these photos. _________________ Jim
