Hello to everyone.
Found this site thanks to the Scottish Family Tree Forum.
I'm currently researching Sgt John Todd Eaglesham, 10th Batt Cameronians (SR) who was KIA 28/3/1918. Also trying to get the CWGC to acknowledge my g/g grandfather Merchant Seaman John Bleakley, who the ships Storekeeper and was lost aboard the hospital ship HMHS ROHILLA which sank in October of 1914.
Enjoy Family and Military history and do a bit of volunteer photograthy for the Commonwealth War Graves Project. I also enjoy annoying the life out of those at Celtic FC to get them to erect a memorial to their ex players who fell in the Great War .

Welcome to the forum weejock. Celtic have plans to unveil a memorial to the fallen within the new museum which will be built in the summer. This is one step further than all the other teams in the SPL who lost players even the Gers, but it is one step behind Hearts who have their own memorial in Haymarket. |

weejock,
I've just noticed that we both have a 10 SR link - my ggf was killed at Loos.
Glad to hear that you have finally bullied the 'tic into action. Well done!

Also remembering Flt Lt Al Squires and CXX/3 killed 2 Sep 06 in Afghanistan. |
