If the order the names are listed can be worked out it may help identify the unidentified.
Apart from the first order being by rank I can't work it out. As far as I can see it doesn't then seem to follow alphabetical surname, date of death or regimental precedence.

Kinrosshire Advertiser 6th November 1920
A handsome monolith memorial in whinstone, erected by public subscription to the memory of 15 officers, non commissioned officers and men belonging to the Muckhart district of Perthshire who fell in the Great war,has been unveiled by Captain APHaig of Blairhill (on Sunday 31st October).Rev JEdgar Cairns, minister of the parish and Rev WCDickson took part in the proceedings.
A bronze panel set into the monolith(9ft9ins in height) records in raised letters the names of the fallen. The double base, resting on a concrete foundation,is also of whinstone and the whole stands 14 ft above the ground. The stones were got from the neighbouring quarry of Devonshaw.
GHPaulin was the designer, the son of the late parish minister. |
