This plaque is located in St Andrews Church, Carluke.

Transcription:
"In memory of Dennys Blair Lockhart, Commandant Military Police, Pahang, Late Lieutenant Connaught Rangers, Son of Major General Sir William Lockhart, K.C.B. and grandson of the Rev. Lawrence Lockhart.
He died at Pekan, Malay Peninsula, on the 10th Nov. 1891, in the 24th year of his age.
Devotion to duty caused his fatal illness, and the Governor of The Straits Settlements declared his death to be a public misfortune." |
