I would like to apologise for not introducing myself, prior to posting my first message. I'm afraid I haven't quite familiarised myself with the forum etiquette, despite having read much, before posting. I am Myra Swanson, a pensioner from Portsmouth, who is very interested in researching the Gordon Highlanders and my family members, who fought and sadly died in WW1. I enjoyed my visits to view the Buckie War Memorial and my postcard of it is one of my treasured possessions. It's a privilege to read so many interesting posts written by you. Thank you. |

Thank you so much for the warm welcome Kenneth. It's a real pleasure to visit the Forum and I've found a few facts to help me in my search already. |
