I registered some time ago but I'm only just getting round to introducing myself - apologies!
My Great-grandmother collected war memorial postcards. Her elder son died in Tanganyika in WW1 whilst attached to the King's African Rifles; her younger son, my grandfather, was wounded on the Western Front and was posted missing for a time.
I am a (not very active!) volunteer for the War Memorials Trust.
I have recently posted details of the Imperial Tobacco memorial plaques that I came across by chance in Glasgow and I have also posted a brief update on the memorial at Pollokshaws Burgh Hall.
Excellent site by the way!
