I took photos last Sunday of the memorial in Trinity Extension Cemetery.
The firm had a factory a stone's throw from where I stay.
I have spent the week researching and updating information. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |

The memorial which is of Kemnay granite was placed in the wall of the premises to the left of the office door in South Mount Street.
It remembers 12 of the employees.
The company were Preserved Provision Manufacturers. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire.

The company originated in Aberden and were jam makers and fish curers.
Being involved with fish, they have a memorial at Lowestoft. They also had factories at Milwall and were taken over by Beechams after WW2

I've seen workers in the canning department. I also saw on ebay bottles and jars with the firms name. They supplied Scott & Shackleton. They also sent food supplies to feed soldiers in WWI. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |
