Not listed on UKNIWM
This memorial is in Kirkgunzeon Parish Church (pronounced Ker-gunyun) (OS Map Ref NX 866 667). A little out of focus I am afraid, but readable nonetheless.

Kirkgunzeon Parish Church has closed. The final service was held on Sunday 13 October.
A new location for the Roll has still to be decided. _________________ Ken |

I have received confirmation today, from 2 different village residents that both this and the WW1 Roll of Honour were relocated to the Village Hall after closure. The deconsecrated church is now owned by D & G council, and remains empty, as only the church itself is for sale and is now empty. It has so far apparently been impossible to arrange a succesful sale, as the building has no services like electric or gas or sewage, which would have to be installed across the still open graveyard. |
