As see from the Great War Forum that John Tice, Pte 38961 as been put forward as a non-com. He died of cancer on 24/8/1919 in Bangour Hospital. He is listed on the Kelso War Memorial.

He will qualify and be accepted by CWGC without problem since his DC confirms he was a serving soldier at his death.
Does anyone know where he is buried? Kelso ? _________________ Jim
