The Greatfield was a tanker which had been built in 1928. She was a straggler from Convoy HX-18 and was hit by a torpedo from U-57. She caught fire and ten crewmembers were lost.
She later ran aground at Dunbeath and broke in two on the 19th March and was declared a total loss.
