From Google maps, followed by www.old.maps.co.uk and other web sources it looks like this was the West United Presbyterian Church until the UP Church merged with the Free Church in 1900; then West United Free Church (1900-1929). Not sure what it became when the UF Church merged with the Established Church of Scotland in 1929.

From The Scotsman Monday 13th September 1920. (90 years ago, today)
MEMORIAL SLAB AT KINROSS
A memorial erected in the vestibule of Kinross West U.F. Church to the eighteen men of the congregation was unveiled yesterday by the Rev. E. T. Vernon, who conducted the dedication service. There was a large congregation. The memorial is of Ayrshire stone, six feet long and five feet high. The names of the fallen, the carving of the panels, the symbolism, and the inscription are in relief. In the centre is a large cross, surrounded by a laurel wreath. On either side are the Greek letters Alpha and Omega, and the symbols of the U.F. Church.
I guess that confirms the church name. (can someone edit the title of this topic?)
