According to the May/June edition of History Scotland, a plaque to commemorate war poet Charles Hamilton Sorley was unveiled on 5 November 2018 at Powis House, Aberdeen (now Powis Community Centre). Sorley was killed at the Battle of Loos and had lived at Powis House as a child.
It is one of a number of plaques to Scottish War poets either unveiled or due to be unveiled in the future. |
