Thomas Patterson, Royal Scots Fusiliers (52532) is listed on the Gatehouse and Catrine war memorials. Service and Pension records have not survived.
Leg amputated below knee (Kirkcudbrightshire Advertiser 18 Oct 1918 – note that this is prior to discharge).
He was discharged with SWB on 4 Jun 1919.
He died on 23 Apr 1920 in Kilmarnock Infirmary of Amyloid disease and Uraemia following leg wound with sepsis (leg amputated some months before).
There is also a Pension Record Index Card to which I do not have access.
Forwarded to IFCP for consideration/advice on further action.

Pension Record Index Card confirms cause of death was attributable to his service.
Do you want me to send a copy on to you? |
