A mural tablet and baptismal font of Sicilian marble were erected in this Church to commemorate those members of the congregation who died in WW1-does anyone know where this is now? |

I've moved this to the lost memorials section.
Hilltown UF Church may have taken a new name in 1929 when Church of Scotland and United Free churches merged.
It may well have merged more than once since 1918 in fact it may even have closed without merging.
Does anyone know an address for this church at the time?
Thanks

I have now established that Hilltown Church, which was in Alexander/North Wellington St, closed in 1970,was used as a warehouse and subsequently demolished. No indication of where the memorial went,if at all.Congregation divided between Clepington Church and Wishart Memorial Church.Possibility also of St Davids?
Anyone able to check the Churches? |
